ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE@#To explore the therapeutic effect of Bushen Yiqi Huoxue Decoction BYHD) in patients with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR).@*METHODS@#A total of 180 patients with DOR diagnosed from December 2013 to December 2014 were equally assigned into progynova and duphaston (E+D) group, Zuogui Pill group and BYHD group with 60 cases in each by computerized randomization. Patients received E+D, Zuogui Pill or BYHD for 12 months, respectively. Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol (E2), anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), antral follicle count (AFC), ovarian volume, endometrial thickness, and the resistance indices (RIs) of ovarian arteries and uterine arteries were observed before and after treatment.@*RESULTS@#Nine women (4 from the E+D group, 3 from the Zuogui Pill group, and 2 from the BYHD group) withdrew from the study. After 6 months, Zuogui Pill and BYHD significantly decreased FSH and LH and increased endometrial thickness and AMH (all P<0.01). BYHD also resulted in E2 elevation (P<0.05), ovary enlargement (P<0.05), AFC increase (P<0.01), and RI of ovarian arteries decrease (P<0.05). After 12 months, further improvements were observed in the Zuogui Pill and BYHD groups (all P<0.01), but BYHD showed better outcomes, with lower FSH, larger ovaries and a thicker endometrium compared with the Zuogui Pill group (all P<0.01). However, E+D only significantly increased endometrial thickness (P<0.01) and no significant improvements were observed in the RI of uterine arteries in the three groups.@*CONCLUSIONS@#BYHD had a favorable therapeutic effect in patients with DOR by rebalancing hormone levels, promoting ovulation, and repairing the thin endometrium. The combination of tonifying Shen (Kidney), benefiting qi and activating blood circulation may be a promising therapeutic strategy for DOR.

OBJECTIVE To explore the curative effect and mechanism of Yiqi Huoxue decoction in the treatment of coronary heart disease with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. METHODS The patients with coronary heart dis?ease of Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome were treated with Yiqi Huoxue decoction for 3 months, and the changes of cardiac function were observed. 61 serum samples (including 29 cases of disease group and 32 cases of Yiqi Huoxue expression group) were analyzed by non labeled proteomics. The disease group was used as the control group, and the protein with expression level difference of more than 1.2 folds (P<0.05) was screened. The molecular function, biologi?cal pathway and protein interaction of the different proteins were analyzed by bioinformatics, so as to identify the molecu?lar and biological pathway of Yiqi Huoxue decoction in the treatment of coronary heart disease with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. RESULTS Clinical treatment found that Yiqi Huoxue decoction can improve TCM syndrome score and left ventricular ejection fraction, regulate blood glucose and blood lipid levels, prolong thrombin time, and improve heart function. The results of proteomic quantitative analysis showed that there were 69 proteins with different expression levels in the disease group. Bioinformatics analysis results showed that Yiqi Huoxue decoction may regulate ApoA1, alpha-2 and other proteins to act on HDL assembly, platelet degradation, PI3K Akt signaling pathway, and then play a therapeutic role in coronary heart disease with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. CONCLUSION Yiqi Huoxue decoction can effectively improved the heart function decline caused by Qi deficiency and blood stasis syn?drome of coronary heart disease. It mainly act on energy metabolism and platelet activation pathway by activating HDL assembly and platelet degradation signal pathway proteins. This study can provide reference for the follow-up treatment mechanism of Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome of coronary heart disease.
ABSTRACT
AIM: To investigate the inhibitory effect of Yiqi Huoxue decoction on the malignant biological behavior of lung cancer cells and its mechanism. METHODS: Human lung cancer A549 cells were treated with different doses of Yiqi Huoxue Decoction serum (5%, 10%, 15%). CCK-8 assay, transwell chamber experiment, flow cytometry, Western blot and qRT-PCR method were used to study the effect of different doses of Yiqi Huoxue Decoction-containing serum to cell proliferation, cell migration and invasion, cell apoptosis, PTEN protein and miR-21 expression. RESULTS:Compared with the drug-free serum group, survival rate, migration and invasion ability of A549 cells decreased after treatment with different doses of drug-containing serum. The apoptosis rate of A549 cells increased, PTEN mRNA and the expression of its protein increased, the expression of miR-21 decreased, and the medium-dose (10%) drug-containing serum group had the best effect. After the transfection of miR-21 mimics, miR-21 expression was up-regulated, while PTEN protein expression was down-regulated in cells. PTEN protein expression was up-regulated after treatment with medium-dose (10%) drug-containing serum. CONCLUSION: Yiqi Huoxue Decoction can effectively inhibit the malignant cell biological behavior of human lung cancer A549 cells and may be related to the regulation of the miR-21/PTEN signaling pathway.
ABSTRACT
Objective To study the clinical effect of Yiqi-Huoxue decoction on inflammatory factors and renal function with diabetic kidney disease (DN). Methods A total of 95 patients with DN were divided into the control group (n=47) and the treatment group (n=48) randomly. The control group were treated with conventional medicine, and the treatment group were treated with conventional medicine combined with Yiqi-Huoxue decoction. The two groups were treated for 12 weeks. The clinical efficacy of the two groups after treatment were compared. The serum IL-8, TNF-α, CRP and BUN, SCr, UAER of the two groups before and after treatment were compared. The adverse reactions of the two groups during treatment were compared. Results The total efficacy rate of the treatment group was 87.5％ (42/48), significantly higher than 51.1％(24/47) of the control group (χ2=14.866, P<0.01). After treatment, the serum L-8 (7.23 ± 2.84 ng/L vs. 11.63 ± 7.20 ng/L, t=3.933), TNF-α (16.71 ± 1.05 ng/L vs. 18.35 ± 1.20 ng/L, t=7.093), CRP (5.63 ± 1.21 mg/L vs. 6.70 ± 1.38 mg/L, t=4.021) of the treatment groupwere significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the BUN (6.03 ± 0.66 mmol/L vs. 8.12 ± 0.78 mmol/L, t=14.109), SCr (90.17 ± 14.30 mmol/L vs. 101.34 ± 18.81 mmol/L, t=3.263), UAER (0.64 ± 0.19 g/24 h vs. 0.96 ± 0.22 g/24h, t=7.592) of the treatment groupwere significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.01). The adverse reactions rates of treatment group was 6.3％ (3/48), control group was 8.5％ (4/47), and there was no significantly differences between two groups (χ2=0.178, P=0.673). Conclusions The Yiqi-Huoxue decoction for patients with DN has a good efficacy and low adverse reactions, can reduce the inflammatory factors, improve the inflammatory state and renal function, and it was worthy clinical application.

Objective To explore effect of Yiqi-Huoxue decoction in combination with exercise rehabilitation therapy on functional recovery of hemiplegic limbs and surface electromyography (Surface electromyography,sEMG) during cerebral infarction convalescence.Methods According to random number table,80 cerebral infarction patients in convalescence stage who met the inclusion criteria were divided into the combination therapy group and rehabilitation therapy group,40 in each group.Rehabilitation therapy group received hemiplegia rehabilitation therapy;combination therapy group took Yiqi-Huoxue decoction on the basis of rehabilitation treatment.The 2 groups were treated for 3 months.In hemiplegic upper limb,Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) was scored and Root Mean Square (RMS) and Median Frequency (MDF) of sEMG on biceps brachii were tested before and after each course of treatment respectively.Results After 1-,2-,or 3-month treatment,FMA score of combination therapy group was significantly higher than that of rehabilitation therapy group (t=2.702,4.595,4.444,respectively;all P＜0.01).At 2 or 3 months after treatment,the RMS of combination therapy group (t=7.188,5.405,respectively;all P＜0.01) and the MDF (t=3.336,4.584,respectively;all P＜0.01) were significantly higher than that of rehabilitation therapy group.Conclusions The Yiqi-Huoxue decoction in combination with exercise rehabilitation therapy can improve motor function and muscle tension of hemiplegic limbs during cerebral infarction convalescence.

To investigate the protective effect of Yiqi Huoxue decoction on the kidney in diabetic goto-Kaizaki (GK) rats. Eight Wistar rats were used as normal control group. According to body weight and blood glucose, 16 GK rats were randomly divided into model control group and Yiqi Huoxue group, with 8 rats in each group. Drugs were administrated for 6 weeks. The rats were weighed and fasting blood glucose (FBG) were measured weekly; the glycosylated hemoglobin (HbALc) and 24 h metabolic rate were measured at the end of third and sixth weeks, at the same time, urine was collected to measure urinary glucose (U-GLU), urinary creatinine (U-CREA) and total proteinuria (U-TP) by biochemical method and calculate 24 h protein excretion rate (UAER). At the end of treatment, rats were sacrificed in anesthesia, and creatinin (CREA), uric acid (UA) and cholesterol (CHOL) were detected by biochemical method and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) was detected by manual method with the blood drawn from heart. Both kidneys were taken and weighed to calculate the renal hypertrophy index. The kidneys were placed into neutral formalin and observed under light microscope for pathological change after Periodic Acid-Schiff (PAS) staining. The results showed that as compared with the normal control group, FBG, HbALc, 24 h Metabolic rate, U-GLU, UAER, serum CREA, UA and CHOL levels, as well as renal hypertrophy index were significantly increased (<0.05) in the model group, while the body weight growth rate, serum GSH-Px level were significantly reduced(<0.05); in addition, renal glomerular injury and structural changes were observed in the model group. As compared with the model group, serum GSH-Px level was significantly increased (<0.05) in the Yiqi Huoxue group, While FBG, HbALc, 24 h Metabolic rate, U-GLU, UAER, serum CREA, UA and CHOL levels, as well as renal hypertrophy index were significantly reduced (<0.05); meanwhile, renal glomerular injury and structural changes were improved in the Yiqi Huoxue group. The results showed that Yiqi Huoxue decoction can significantly increase serum GSH-Px level, reduce FBG, HbALc, 24 h metabolic rate, U-GLU, UAER, serum CREA, UA and CHOL levels, as well as renal hypertrophy index, and improve renal pathology in diabetic GK rats.

Objective:To study the clinical efficacy ofYiqi Huoxue Decoction in the treatment of children with spleen and kidney deficiency type nephrotic syndrome.Methods:A total of 80 children with spleen and kidney deficiency type nephrotic syndrome in our hospital from June 2014 to October 2016 were enrolled in this study.The subjects were divided into control group (n=40) and treatment group (n=40) according to the random number table method.The control group was treated with prednisone,and the treatment group was treated with prednisone combined with Yiqi Huoxue Decoction,the two groups were treated for 4 months.The clinical efficacy of the two groups were evaluate.The 24h proteinuria,total cholesterol (TC),plasma albumin (Alb),and renal function parameters including blood urea nitrogen (BUN),serum creatinine (Scr),and serum creatinine clearance (Ccr) of the two groups before and after treatment were compared.Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.00％,which was significantly higher than 67.50％ of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The 24h proteinuria,TC,BUN and Scr of the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than before treatment,the Alb,Ccr of the two groups were significantly higher than before treatment,and above indexes in treatment group were better than the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Yiqi Huoxue Decoction have good clinical efficacy in the treatment of children with spleen and kidney deficiency type nephrotic syndrome,which can obviously improve children renal function,and is worthy of clinical application.
ABSTRACT
Objective To observe the effect of Yiqi Huoxue decoction combined with chemical arterial perfusion in treating advanced pancreatic cancer. Methods Review the clinical effect and benefit response of Yiqi Huoxue decoction combined with chemicals (Gemcitabine+PDD) arterial perfusion in treating 43 cases of advanced pancreatic cancer. Results The objective response rate (CR+PR) in treated group was 25.6%. The clinical benefit response rate (CR+PR+NC) in treated group was 67.4%,and the clinical benefits were mainly in the aspects of pain extent and quality of life. The rate of relief from pain was 74.3%. Conclusion The effect of Yiqi Huoxue decoction combined with chemicals (Gemcitabine+PDD) arterial perfusion in treating advanced pancreatic cancer was reliable,and the clinical benefit response was good.
